Hi, I’m Emily! I’m an adventure seeker, boy mom, doctor’s wife, and dog trainer. I’ve always loved being outdoors. I grew up hiking and found a love for camping and backpacking as an adult. My son, Ivey, and my dogs, Samson and Xena, are the best hiking buddies a girl could ask for. Learning to hike, camp, and backpack by myself with a baby and two dogs has been a learning experience but I’ve loved every moment of it.

This little corner of the internet was born from a desire to share what I’ve learned so far, to encourage parents who are overwhelmed by the idea of getting outdoors with littles, to promote responsible adventuring with dogs, and to foster community among likeminded parents.

This year our family will be growing with the addition of another little boy, and we are excited for the new challenges that will bring. Stay a while and join us for the journey!
